WHAT HAPPENED?
Real have confirmed Garcia has signed a new contract until 2030 after a breakthrough campaign at the Club World Cup. The striker scored four goals in six games, although the Spanish giants ultimately came up short in the United States.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 21-year-old had been expected to leave this summer, per , but manager Xabi Alonso is understood to have played a key role in leading his contract extension and he is now set to play a role in the first-team in 2025-26.

Garcia has made a total of 12 appearances for Real in the first-team and will now hope to prove his mettle in La Liga. He does, of course, have to compete with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick.
